This last week I made a lot of bad decisions for sleeping. Almost every night I went to bed at an ungodly hour due to not being able to put down the books I was reading. It was so much fun and I just got the next two books in the Invisible Library series which means more bad decisions.

As mentioned in my article last week I was super hyped to get the third and fourth book in the Invisible Library series by Genevieve Cogman. I read both The Burning Page and The Lost Plot in only a few days. I wasn't surprised to find them to be exceptional and I instantly regretted not picking up the fifth book last week as well. The characters are incredibly smart and I honestly adore the main character. Her personality makes me love her and I trust her to make intelligent decisions in the book. The writing of all the books has been clever. It's really hard to come to an end of a chapter because I know I should stop to go to sleep but the next chapter is bound to be spectacular. Cogman is a wonderful writer and I hope she has other books, hopefully a series, coming soon.

This week, I also finished Unseen Academicals by Terry Pratchett. It was a fun read. I love Pratchett's play on words and the whimsical, hilarious characters. I laughed out loud so much at certain parts it felt like I was having a funny conversation with a friend. It was a great read and a reminder that I need to read more of Pratchett's books.

I also started and finished The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo. It's a short, well-written story that I would highly recommend. There were parts in it that broke my heart and other parts that made me nod at its cleverness.

With all those books I couldn't get enough of, I was surprisingly able to beat Final Fantasy X. The game was full of themes of death, loss, and love. The end was powerful and I was happy that  I picked up a game I should have played long ago. The last couple of bosses were frustrating beyond belief and I didn't particularly like how long the last fight took, but it was a fun time. I'm looking forward to playing Final Fantasy X-2 but will take a break to play something else first.

Do your prefer longer or shorter stories? What's the funniest book you've read? Do you prefer Final Fantasy X or X-2?

Thank you for reading my blog. Keep dreaming and daydreaming of all the wonderful stories in your head.
