Daronfel has few pirates more infamous than the clever water dragon Captain Berric. When his ship, The Second Inheritance, is seen on the horizon, merchants are quick to put up a white flag. But at the end of a successful season of piracy, it isn’t a merchant ship that hoists a white flag in their honor, but a supposed ghost ship floating rather ominously in the dark water.
The pirate captain’s life is turned upside down when he’s outsmarted by the group of slave liberating phantoms on board, namely their annoying altruistic captain, Skyler. Each one of them has a worthless heart of gold but when he realizes their skills can make him filthy rich, with the added benefit of getting revenge on his father, he decides to make them a part of his greatest adventure yet.
