These last few days have been so fun. I've been reading the book Code Girls: The Untold Story of the American Women Code Breakers by Liza Mundy. It has been such an interesting read that has made me think about aspects of World War II in a totally different perspective. Honestly, when I've learned about World War II in the past there has been incredibly little on women. Reading this book has opened my eyes to a part of the war I had never known about and was such an integral part.

It was also interesting learning about what life was like in the states during that time for those who weren't sent abroad. After getting into the book I had a fun conversation with my mom about my grandma and the different things that she did and her relationship with my grandpa. A large part of the book goes into details about WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service). My husband's grandmother was in that organization and so it was also fun talking to him about what she did and he's looking forward to speaking with his mom about it in greater detail.

I am so proud of the women who served our country during a time where so many things were against them. I am proud that they diligently served despite unfair treatment and unfair pay. They made an incredible difference and deserve more respect than we've given them.

In the video games department, I've been playing an indie game called Indivisible. The game caught my eye because of a few characters I saw who looked hilarious and fun. It's very charming. The combat system felt a little overwhelming the first few fights but now that I'm growing used to it the game has been incredibly fun.

What is your favorite time period to read about? Who's the funniest character you've seen in a video game?

Thank you for reading this article. Keep dreaming and daydreaming of all the wonderful worlds in your head.
