For the last few days I've been doing a bit of reflecting. I have an amazing niece who loves writing. She talks about it whenever she gets the chance and it is so fun hearing her express her ideas and dreams when it comes to her own writing. It made me think about myself at her age and the hopes and work one puts into writing. Not much has changed. I feel that must be the same for anyone who is pursuing something they love.

Writing has been such a blast lately. I enjoy the idea I'm working on which is focused around a Guardian crime syndicate. It's an angle I haven't explored too deeply in my world and it has helped build different aspects more thoroughly. It has also inspired many other book ideas which I am enthusiastic to explore. There are so many ideas I have lined up to try out and the thought is exhilarating.

On the editing front, I've gotten a few other people to look over the book I plan on querying out next. It has been fun hearing their opinions and ideas about the book and seeing how different each reader looks at things. I'm eager to start making edits for this book again now that more have looked it over. This story has been one of my favorites to write and that always makes things so fun.

I've also been doing a lot of reading. If you're interested in the kinds of books I've been reading, you can read about some of them on my website under currently reading and playing. The most recent two books I've read have been, Wow, No Thank You," by Samantha Irby and The Blacktongue Thief, by Christopher Buehlman. They are very different books, one of them being non-fiction essays and the other a high fantasy. I'll be writing a review about them in the next couple of days.

Keep dreaming and daydreaming of the wonderful worlds in your head.
