I randomly picked up How Long 'Til Black Future Month? by N.K. Jemisin and have loved it. I would highly recommend this book of fantasy short stories. The author is exceptionally skilled at writing. Each story has been vastly different in main character, tone, narrative, but they have all been brilliant. This is the kind of book that needs to be read. The first story in particular, "The Ones Who Stay and Fight" has made me think a lot about how I view the world and other people. It's a great reminder of how kindness and understanding is possible and it is us who make it possible. All of the short stories I've read so far have been in the perspective of African Americans in a beautiful, eye opening way. Wonderful book. Please read this.

I've been playing a lot of different games recently. Scribblenauts Unlimited has been a blast and a good sit down and breathe game. I also figured out that my best friend plays Monster Hunter Rise and so we got to play that a little bit together. That was a lot of fun and a great way to catch up with her. We live in different states now and don't get to talk to each other as much as we used to. There's no better way to hang out with an old friend than taking down massive monsters.

Thank you for reading this article. Keep dreaming and daydreaming of all the beautiful worlds in your head.
