I've read three books since the last time I wrote an article. All of them were very different but were enjoyable in different ways.

First of all was a fantasy that I randomly chose off the bookshelf. The book is called The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman. It was a fast moving fantasy filled with adventure, danger, and interesting protagonists fighting against incredible odds. There were parts of it that will give me nightmares for years to come and other parts that were so well written I took a lot of time analyzing the writing and appreciating it. The story was very candid in language and the world building was incredible. It felt like its own world from the beginning, not some generic fantasy world but the world the author intended.

The next book I read was The Selection by Kiera Cass. I don't think I've ever read a book that's primary focus was romance before with the exception of a few classics. This book was a recommendation from my best friend and I genuinely enjoyed it. The premise of the book was interesting and it was a good example of a book that's well written despite not having too obvious of an overarching plot within the first book. The little scenes and moments throughout the book were interesting and did add to the plot for the series which made me feel satisfied even without a climax screaming in my face. I need to read the next book to figure out who the main character ends up with. My friend is refusing to tell me.

Lastly, I read a book that I've been meaning to read for a while. It was Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie. I saw the movie for the book and so it hasn't been too high on my list, but I am glad I ended up reading it anyway. It was a very entertaining read and though I knew who the murderer was there were parts that were so well written that it was like watching an entirely different mystery unfold. I love fantasy books but I always need to read a few Agatha Christies every year because they also make me happy.

Have you read any of Agatha Christie's books? If so, what are some books by her you would recommend?

Thank you for reading this article. Keep dreaming and day dreaming of all the wonderful worlds inside your head.
